Here's how character creation works in Cyberpunk 2077. It's easy to create characters in Cyberpunk 2077 and you can come up with something pretty unique. It's just a shame that currently you rarely seem your character because the game is mostly first person. This said, you can't change your character later if you don't like them, unless you mess with your save files in an external tool. So pick someone you're happy to play with!

The most important choice in character creation is the gender of your character as that affects your romance options whilst playing the game. You also hear the characters voice when talking, so pick whatever voice you'd prefer to listen to throughout the tens of hours you'll play this game for!
