Cyberpunk 2077 is the Least Punk Media of All Time
My review of Cyberpunk 2077, but with a twist. I take a look at the game's culture, themes, and ideology to explain why I think this game is not punk (yes I understand the irony of calling something not punk, all right? I get it.) While that is the main focus, I also share my opinions on some of the game's mechanics and aspects of its gameplay. While stunning to drive around in, does the Cyberpunk 2077 story, plot, or characters hold up to the studio's last release The Witcher 3? The synthwave soundtrack and classic punk rock songs are great at immersing you in the dystopian, blade runner style world, but how deep is that experience? Cyberpunk was advertised as the absolute best RPG experience in a video game to date, we’ll see how my Cyberpunk 2077 review agrees with CD Projekt Red’s advertising…
