Cyberpunk 2077 LOOKS SO REALISTIC with Ray Tracing Overdrive Update on RTX 4090
In partnership with NVIDIA, CDPR released a new Ray Tracing mode called PATH TRACING for Cyberpunk 2077. This mode is only available for high-end PCs recommended on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series (4070 Ti and up) graphics cards. Also, on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 (1080p, 30 fps).
So What is Path Tracing?
Path Tracing simulates the true physics of light, which uses ray tracing as one component of a larger light simulation system. This would mean all lights in a scene are sampled stochastically both for direct illumination, to light objects or characters, and for global illumination, to light rooms or environments with indirect lighting.
The technology preview for Cyberpunk 2077’s Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode is a sneak peek into the future of full ray tracing, with further full ray tracing enhancements and performance optimisations.
