If you don't speak to Jackie when you're first in Watson, you can clear up that area before you start your main story play through, lets you get the skills levels you need to pass any skill checks that you want, you can repeat this after the heist whenthe rest of the map opens up, before you speak to Takemura, you can finish off all the fixer quests and any side jobs you want before you play through automatic love etc, max tier cyberware installed.

With the game not having a "new game plus" it's a way to do it without mods or whatever, it also can unlock hidden dialouge options such as this one with Jotaro.
