Cycle of the Werewolf Explained - Stephen King's Hidden Classic You Can’t Afford to Miss!
Have you ever watched the 1985 film Silver Bullet starring Gary Busey? Well, the movie is based on Stephen King’s shortest novel till date, called the Cycle of the Werewolf, it’s only a 127 pages and can be called a novella instead. Each of the 12 parts of the story takes place from January to December of 1984. In fact, it all started as a calendar. Apparently, Stephen King was drunk when he agreed to write the vignettes for this calendar. Nevertheless, in this video, I am gonna explore the entire novella, and I will try to keep up with the tone and style that Mr King used in his work, and you could tell me later if I fared well or not. Oh, just a note… So, Mr King took many liberties with the lunar cycle, for instance, he had placed them on important dates such as Valentine’s Day in February or Independence Day in July, this was done to focus the relevant months more clearly in the readers' minds. So, without further ado, let’s begin.
