Daniel Agger was the match winner when Denmark defeated Armenia 1-0 on Tuesday night.

And even though the Danish national team captain tradition was not much to praise himself after the game, putting Agger no secret of joy by scoring the crucial goal from the penalty spot.

- It's always nice to score goals, but the important thing is of course that we win games. But it was a good feeling today, he said to TV 2 Sport immediately after the game.

Denmark sat on the fun from start to finish and left no opponents many chances along the way. Agger was in no doubt why.
- First of all, we keep the agreements we had before the game, and it's obviously a big part of football. This proves that when we do the things we have agreed that we also make it easier for ourselves. I think that we proved today, he said.

Denmark has now fallen short of the requirement to win two World Cup qualifiers in four days. Thus, there is still hope of securing access to the World Cup in Brazil next year.

10th September 2013.
