Darktide: Arbiter Class LvL 24 - Grinding with Fluffy the Attack Hound.
1HE"S A GOOD BOY:
My pup, Fluffy (Mr. Fluffier Biturassoff), is my constant companion in matches; I can't imagine playing without him. The ability to give Fluffy orders via VO or through the talent tree, coupled with his distinct personality, makes the experience even better.
ARBITES DLC & UPDATE:
Regarding the Arbites update and DLC, aside from the sidekick, the weapons are quite effective. I'm particularly enjoying the Exterminator shotgun, which comes in two variants. One is a long-range version with a tight shot grouping, functioning like a shotgun sniper rifle. The other has a flattened choke for a wide area of effect, also performing well. The wide shot deals surprising mid-range damage. The suppression shield, paired with a shock maul or powerful pistol, is also notable. While I'm not used to shields, it effectively stops incoming damage. I found the shield easier to use with the shock maul than the pistol, though the pistol seems powerful. I'm unsure if the pistol is available without the shield. The new or reworked maps are visually impressive, a consistent strength of Darktide. The impact grenades and voltaic shock mine function as intended, but the Shock Maul excels in the levels I've played.
Currently, I'm grinding in malice difficulty. Once I reach level 30, I'll return to Heresy, and perhaps someday even Damnation, though I'm not sure I'm skilled enough. I'm not.
I DON"T LIKE GRINDING BUT-
My only complaint about the new Arbites class, as with any new class, is the level grind from 1 to 30, regardless of prior playtime. While I dislike grinding, it's still been enjoyable. After my last match, with talent tree additions and upgrades, I'm noticing a significant improvement in my Arbites build's movement. I'm focusing on stamina and regeneration, as well as toughness and its regeneration, to overcome the Arbite class's initial slowness. I'm used to my fast Zealot build. I'm getting closer to dialing in my Arbite, with about six more levels to go, and maximizing Fluffy's potential too, as there are extensive talent tree options for him that I'm pursuing.
