0Dave Season 3 makes good use of all these high profile guest stars
Not everything that happens in Dave is real. Inspired by Dave Burds life as rapper Lil Dicky. the FX comedy is just that: inspired. Enough metashows about fictionalized versions of real people have aired now for viewers to realize that their scripted programs prioritize quality entertainment over factual reenactments.At the Met Gala. he has to wonder if making a climate change statement is worth it if it means quitting cigars with Cheadle and Denzel Washington. The answer is obvious. but the struggle. as they say. is real. McAdams blurs that line even further. Daves relationship with Robyn is going well. I think it ties all the themes of this season together. Credit goes to co showrunner and co creator Jeff Schaffer. who has some experience working with famous people playing themselves in Curb Your Enthusiasm along with the writing team and the entire creative team. Burd is part of that team. and his ability to looking beyond oneself adds additional depth to the series that bears his name.
