At some point when talking about The Binding of Isaac, one thing I fail to cover that I wanted to is just how many resources there are to manage in that game (keys, bombs, money, health, card/pill slot) and how the game really has a variety of ways to use most of them and it's really experience in how they should be used that separates the good players from the great ones. I feel like that sort of thing really brings it closer to the "true roguelikes".
