What is Dead Matter ?

Dead Matter, by indie company Quantum Integrity Software Inc., is a zombie survival rogue-lite set in a near future, post-apocalyptic Alberta. Bringing together various, handpicked elements of the open-world survival genre, along with our own original touches, Dead Matter aims to quench the community’s thirst for a title to properly balance survival mechanics with fulfilling gameplay.
The game comes out August 19th at 9pm EST. A live countdown of the release of the closed alpha is on the stream.

Game mechanics and features:
- Singleplayer, Multiplayer and Co-op (host private server)
- Steam Workshop and editor to create more content
- Open world, zombie survival game set in Alberta Canada with a world size of 7.5km x 7.5km map (closed alpha)
- crafting, looting, gun customization, vehicles, pvp and pve elements
- day/night/seasons cycle in game time is 5 times faster than real life time
- take over almost any building or structure in the game, claim it as your base, store loot inside, add fortifications and traps
- trading with players and npc traders at safezones
- multiple npc factions are out there too they survive as time goes on they could be friendly or hostile
- advanced zombie hoard mechanics
- lots of roll play capabilities
- voip, radio system, and radio station broadcasting
- character creation and the job you use to have before the apocalypse and skill leveling
- farming, fishing and hunting
- way more features i completely missed
