Decaying Salvage - The SCARIEST Space Horror Game You’ve Never Heard Of! (New Gameplay Demo)
Decaying Salvage is a sci-fi horror adventure inspired by 90s and early 2000s survival horror, using fixed camera angles to build tension aboard drifting ghost ships in deep space. You wake up alone - cryosleep ended abruptly - and discover your ship on the brink of collapse, surrounded by abandoned vessels that might offer help - or hidden nightmares. Your mission: scavenge crucial systems like artificial gravity, engines, and air filtration, but every step could trigger danger and unexpected enemies that make you second-guess if you should run or stay. The game leans heavily into puzzle solving and environmental storytelling, where following manuals correctly is just as critical as staying alive - one wrong move could cost you dearly. A solo Australian indie dev is crafting this dark, atmospheric tale with no release date yet, but the early prototype and demo already show a grim, immersive promise for fans of classic horror.
