Demolition Racer 'Part 6' Semi Pro League - FREEWAY DRIVEBY
4Demolition Racer is a vehicular combat racing video game for the PlayStation, Dreamcast (as No Exit) and PC that combines destruction and driving tactics in a fast paced racing environment. It is very similar to the Destruction Derby series. The PC version contained slightly better in-game graphics than the PlayStation version, and included varied weather and times of day. Drivers are given (optional) wacky portraits which displayed on the side of the screen in a race, showing who's ahead of who.
The aim of the game is to win the race whilst destroying other racers' cars. Players receive points based on the amount of damage they do to other cars, then receive a score multiplier at the end of the game based on their standing in the race. In addition to the normal numbers of points, landing on another car (known in the game as a 'Death From Above') not only merit a large number of points but destroy the victim's car.
Demolition Racer received mixed to positive reviews. Aggregating review website GameRankings and Metacritic gave the Dreamcast version 76.39% and 77/100, the PlayStation version 73.38% and the PC version 54.25%.

DEMOLITION RACER brings the action of demolition racing to the PlayStation. Choose from nine cars, hit one of the 11 tracks, and play a single race with one of several options. Demolition has the player trying to wreck the oppositions' cars while finishing in first place. In Chase, just try to be first and not destructive drivers behind you catch up. A Chicken race has all of the other cars racing at you head on. Last Man Standing and Suicide are destruction derbies where you want to be the last person running and the first person out, respectively. Those who want more of a challenge should try to work their way through the rookie, semi-pro, pro, endurance, and arena demolition leagues. If friends think you play the game like a girl, then challenge them with the two-player game. Do you have the skills to survive all these modes?
