Demon's Crest - Session #1
2It's time to check out a game from the Super 16, a lovely (maybe not in terms of its aesthetics, lol) little game called Demon's Crest. Supposedly a follow-up to Super Ghouls and Ghosts, this game focuses on the story of Firebrand in his quest to find the crests and take out the demon known as Phalanx.
Even though this game is related to the Ghosts and Goblins/Ghouls and Ghosts, I wouldn't say this game features the same intense difficulty of the series. It can still be a challenging game, but using your abilities and exploring your environment, you can discover lots of different items and upgrades that will help make your journey a lot easier and/or more manageable. Turning this action/adventure/platformer into more of a Metroidvania of sorts.
I really enjoyed playing this game, despite what the last hour of this VOD might suggest (that boss sucked...but since this stream I have found a means to make this fight a lot easier). And although I do beat what should have been the final boss...there is one more challenge that we will need to take on, and we'll do that in the next session in order to see the true ending. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/slimkirby
