Front Squat PR doesnt save absolute clown fiesta, probably our worst recorded session. We were just too strong/hyped from our 167.5 deadlift. Timing completely off, couldnt make contact, was just YANKING. Our dimensions felt different as well, arms felt longer LMAO, like the 167.5 stretched our arms!
Weve gotten stronger so were in a weird spot where were too strong for lighter snatches (we want to just muscle them), but not comfortable with 47.5 kg yet. Also were always staying on the side of caution with room size.
Added extra muscle snatch as a joke but it just resulted in us minor pulling right delt LUL. I feel most stiffness in legs/back, so I feel these warmups are pointless to be honest. The only way to warm them up is with full snatch jumps.
We were a bit tilted and the session dragged on, failing snatches is less gassing, but you start to cool down, which can lead to injury.
First time frontsquatting from rack. Even though the bar looks low, its pressed up against our neck and choking us! The position is awful for us as we dont have toshiki sized femurs. Wrists were fried at the end, and trying cross arm didnt work because were still sloped forward and theres nothing holding the bar up. Maybe shouldve tried 87.5.
So if snatches and cleans end up a disaster, we'll just do front squats from the rack. I dont mind posting complete failure, just keeps you hungry and pumped for next time!
Random trivia, so olympic bar is 10cm wider, so 5cm each hand if its even comfortable for you, dont think this would make a difference, still be BELOW THE SHAFT *tm!

Backsquat PR is 127.5 kg / 281 lbs for a single in july 2021
OHP Max is probably barely 47.5 kg / 104.7 lbs (maybe higher now, tested brother in law and did 47.5 w/o warmup while fatigued pretty easy, unfatigued strict press doesnt really fit in our routine)
Peak BW (lifetime) was ~107.5 kg in july 2021. (Natural average was 85 kg prior to mirtazapine, less growing up, generic tall thin lanky nerd).
