Desolate Canyon - Purrfect Apawcalypse , Doom Mod Playthrough
13Hey Guys, Lil Johnny Red here with a part of a Playthrough with the Doom mod Purrfect Apawcalypse, with level Desolate Canyon, Enjoy :D
This is some slightly new territory for me, first off the Mod isn't functionally complete outside of a few weapons that can only be accessed with cheating with their own ammo types, with no real way to pick up ammo or weapons. So I essentially had to spend at least an hour or two getting the stuff that did work to more or less spawn and another hour creating ammo spawners for the ammo types that did exist in the mod.
I also had to jury-rig a basic Player Class, added some sprites for ammo and weapon pickups and audio for player sounds and weapons, and upon testing it I realised I had to buff a considerable chunk of the weapons.
However despite it's initial incomplete state I do think this mod shows some promise, and lord knows we need a lot more Furry Mods for doom that aren't some lazy reskins. "I cannot be holding the bag myself y'know", I wish the modder all the best.
Notes - It would seem that this mod is loosely based on an indie made furry Comedy/Horror Visual Novel of the same name, I've got no idea what it's about outside it taking place in a High School "probably anime inspired" during a Apocalypse and it containing a decent amount of cartooney gore. I've not played it or wish to play it as VN's are not my thing. I saw what was initially a semi decent furry mod and figured what the hell.
- Might've also thrown my hat into the ring to make the first? proper gameplay video using the mod "that isn't some guy shooting it's weapons at a wall" before someone "no one in particular" decides to run this mod using craptastic shaders, unnecessary movement mods, HD textures that make it look like crap and that "Boykisser" mod.. again talking about no-one in particular.
