In Destiny the Warlock is sort of an equivalent to a wizzard. While Titans focus on defense and Hunters on range and damage, the Warlock focuses more on throwing grenades that deal massive damage and mobility.
The coolest Warlock ability, outside of their grenades, is their ability to glide. This is the single handed most useful skill in the game to me, because it lets you move around the terrain so easy and lets you basically go places other classes can’t as quickly, making it a godsend for PvP.
Sure the other classes get more upward momentum, but the Warlock has grace and control, able to target where they land and be able to throw their enemies off track with the ability to change direction midair easily. Just jump, glide and change direction, then let go and your enemy will have little idea where to shoot.
Though, again, there is the all-star Warlock ability: the nova bomb. This is a almost-guaranteed fatal move in PvP and in PvE it can clear out a lot of baddies.

The Ishtar Sink region looms large in our surviving knowledge of Venus. Guardians come hunting the ruins of the legendary Ishtar Collective, a sprawling Golden Age scientific project. But the ancient ruins that brought the Collective to the Sink have awakened again.
We aren't the only ones interested in the Collective. The Fallen House of Winter has hurled its assets into pillaging the ruins, hunting for some advantage - whether from the Golden Age, or forgotten times beyond. The House of Winter's presence includes constant Skiff overflights in support of ground teams and hints of an improvised command post or staging area in the volcanic Cinders.
The situation is degrading into a race against time. We must claim the Collective's ruins for our own - and hope they will warn us what other threats now rise from Venus' acid seas and ancient stone.
THE GARDENS SPIRE is a story mission in Destiny and takes place in mars. either solo or with a fireteam.
