Detained Too Good for School demo v2
3Trying the latest demo version of this game. Played an earlier version like a year ago. So, while I think some things have been improved, the core gameplay is still much the same. Attacks have horrid impact, enemy behavior is braindead, too many pointless moves, etc.
At this point I think this is the way the game is going to be. Things will get ironed out but the feel of the game is not going to change much, which is a shame. Theres a bunch of cool things in the game like all the different food items and shops and minigames and stuff but if the core gameplay is so mediocre, it brings down the whole experience.
Also, I didn't think about this before but yeah there is this crafting stuff in the game and you have this random loot thing going on you know, the type that is popular in many games today. Hell, those dungeon areas are even called "Raids." So yeah, Not a fan. It's like this is the first time this type of loot has been done in an RPG Beat em' up. This one Kunio/River City Game on 3DS did it. But yeah it feels like a cheap way of artificially bloating the amount of content in the game.
