5,418The movie director was highly disappointed with how the movie turned out. Although Alan Taylor had full creative liberty of the script, he didn’t get to partake in the editing process. Alan Taylor has expressed that he hopes to never experience a filmmaking experience like that again, and he does not wish for any other directors to experience that situation. Editing can completely alter the final result of a film. Whenever a director doesn't have a voice in the editing room, it can't really be said that they have creative control over their film.
