6The story takes place in a parallel universe to that of Digimon Adventure. In this world, Taichi is a boy who has raised a V-Pet Digimon. At the beginning of the story, he is disqualified from the D-1 Grand Prix Tournament because the Digimon he raised wasn't programmed into his V-Pet. After the tournament ended, Tai challenges the champion, a boy named Saiba Neo, to a battle, which ends in a draw, something impossible in a V-Pet battle. Surprised, Tai decides to check if his V-Pet is damaged, but at that moment, he is abducted by it to the Digital World, where he meets Zeromaru (Zero for short), the Veedramon, the Digimon he raised in his V-Pet.
