First, a Pidgit on a carpet will appear. When it approaches, remove the Pidgit off the carpet so you can ride. Ride over a massive hole but watch for incoming Beezos. On the next landing, go through a pipe to grab a key. When you’re in possession of a key, a Phanto will pursue you until you disarm yourself of the key. Use the key to unlock the door and enter the cave full of Snifits. Use bombs to blast away cracked walls. After 2 Ninjis, jump high to go through the door back outside. Continue ahead and enter the door to the boss area. Hit Birdo with eggs 3 times then grab the jewel to open the Mask Gate.
