I've got 9 Shiny Gold Medals, the rest all Gold, Silver and Copper Medals. Shiny Gold times are the only ones the game doesn't tell you which time is at least required to get them. They are FAR more difficult to get than regular Gold. In some levels the difference from Gold to Shiny can be only 1 second (like in 4-3) while in others the difference between Gold and Shiny can be more than 40 seconds (like in 5-3). I haven't beaten the game yet (lack of time) but my goal is to get 200% with all puzzle pieces, all K-O-N-G letters and at least a Copper Medal in every level in time attack mode. I'm not going for all Shiny Gold medals for several reasons. 1. in some levels (especially K-levels, or levels like 5-4) it is insanely difficult to get them and getting them all would take too much time and it is not worth it the time. 2. My DVD Recorder which i've been recording with since 2008, finally broke after 13 years. The DVD disc drive broke and couldn't be fixed and i had no way of getting it from the internal HDD onto a dvd disc. .vob encryption is tricky and when i removed the HDD out of the recorder i had some trouble trying to recover the important data. That should explain why there are videos in .mp4 and recorded from TV with camera for the same video. Since I'm not able to record anymore that's another reason why i'm not going for all Shiny Gold medals. For the future, if i should ever record again, i wouldn't recommend with DVD Recorder, there's so much problems with it and the .vob format. I'd rather get a capture card, with capture card it's so much easier and also better quality.
