Many years ago, the Urban Automation Company prototyped a self-iterating construction machine.
Left unchecked after declaring bankruptcy, the once small compound that housed it built upon itself day by day.
Before long, it took up a block, then a neighborhood, then a zone of the city, then the city itself.
A decade in, and it took up a continent. Five years later, the world - and then it built up, down, wherever it could.
The megastructure resulting from this single machine didn't smother life as some feared, but rather let it live within the gaps of this space.
Society reshaped itself, but things were warped under the new, artificial ecosystems blooming from cold, unfeeling concrete and steel.
Your codename is "Reiv", and for whatever reason, you are now one of many closed fists of the Authority - the single governing body of this place.
Your job is simple: venture into the Megastructure's infected layers and cleanse them with sheer violence.
