DOOM II - Death in Excess - MAP 32 (Extirpation) in 49:23
23Oh god, what a beast of a map this is! I've been looking forward to play this one for a very long time since i started playing Death in Excess. Insane slaughter map with insane amount of enemies, this map is simply crazy!
My thoughts about fights:
First fight is very simple, bunch of circle strafing and ton of invulns, i like to keep 3 saved for other 3 wings i have to do later on in the map.
Legion of Revenant wing - This part is very dangerous, and that's why i decided to go for it first to get it out of the way, what i do is i save 1 invuln from the first arena, clear some Revenants and Mancs and then i grab another one in the arena and you should probably be fine.
Conveyor wing - This is the hardest part of the map, even on HMP it can get very rough. I do the same here as the previous wing with the invuln, grab the second one in the main arena and run fast to shoot the switch to activate the fight, then clear some Revenants for 1 more invuln. It will still be blocked by many of them so you will have to survive around 5 minutes here to get the second invuln.
Final wing - This part is not too bad, activate the switch then kill 1 Arch-Vile and Imps and some Shotgunners to clear that area where you can camp some of the time while enemies infight. Rush to the invuln, clear the paths where imps are, rush to the Arachnotron mini hallway with Arch-Viles then break your way through Spider-Masterminds and you should then be careful for infighting rockets and other Viles that are still alive, but at this point it's not much of a problem to survive.
Finale - Guess what ? Died here also 1 time stupid reason again the damn conveyor screwed me over. Don't know why NoReason said in his demo this part is free as you can get screwed over pretty easily with the conveyors and so many rockets across the arena.
But that's it from this map! Only 1 more map remain and that is final map, MAP16 i will attempt that one as well on HMP as people said even HMP of that map is harder than everyhing in the wad.
