Drow Ranger is a situational carry pick because her passive gives the ranged heroes in the game a decent damage boost. Usually you max out your aura second and build as many agility items as possible so that your team gets helped, but I went a little more greedy and opted for late game items.
Mask of madness is a great pickup on her because it helps her farm rapidly, and due to silence and 60% slow on arrows, you can do a ridiculous amount of damage from range and kill your opponents while holding them in place. Mask of Madness is almost always the correct build! Once you get it and level 6, don't be afraid to go jungling for a while and let one of your supports catch up/get exp in the lane.
Later build either a Shadow Blade or a blink dagger so that you can turn your damage into kills. Always push towers in the early game when possible since you can take them very rapidly.
Late game build a variety of items depending on the opponents, but usualily something like Black King Bar, Manta Style, Daedalus, Monkey King bar, Satanic, or Butterfly.
