9This video highlights my new Melchior X299 system build as I migrate from the X79 to X299 platform. It, in some ways, represents a dream build for me since I’ve never owned an extreme edition / HCC CPU before and have never done a custom water cooling loop.
Part 5 showcases the overclocking and benchmarking results compared to my previous X79 Platform as close as I could make it. Synthetic, Productivity, and Gaming benchmarks are show insomuch as I have software to compare things to but of course I can’t test everything.
Overall this was a super fun experience to build and Caselabs was incredibly responsive to my questions both pre and post ordering. Sadly now that CaseLabs is out of business I’d say if you are still able to find a system from them the quality is still superb. Component list below!
