So, this was the first invasion event, and it wasn't so bad to be honest. The story was pretty not good, but the invasion concept and the trial was pretty cool. Even though these events have pretty much boiled down to picking a rapid-fire manacaster unit and turning your brain off, it's the kind of mindless fun that you don't need your brain on for. The main issue I have with these types of events is after you've gotten all the rewards, grinding dailies becomes a pain. While I typically auto these events after a while with Mascula, they're time based, so they always have to last a set amount of time. That can get annoying when there's other stuff in-game that I want to do. But that is more of a nitpick than anything else, I always like to finish events as fast as possible, so that's just a byproduct of my very accelerated nature(?)
The actual rewards for these events are fantastic though. The weapon skins are a neat touch, and sped up the rate in which we got them (I also don't have to afk farm ABR to get these so that's always a plus). The wyrmprints are the big winners here though. You get them for free, they're cheaper to max, and if you don't feel like spending the eldwater, these events give you plenty of keys to unbind them with. It also helps that a lot of these event prints are good so they may actually see use.
