Dragon Dragon NaturallySpeaking Pro 11 - Macro demo
[NOTE - the "action" starts at about 1:40] This is a (fuzzy, sorry) video demo on how I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 professional to help me in audio editing. Some of these macros are created by recording mouse movements coupled with mouse clicks.
Other macros are created in a step-by-step fashion -- this method is shown in this video.
Now, after 2 weeks I can safely say that this has really helped in my editing and is saved quite a number of mouse moves (and therefore wrist movements) and clicks, which all add up to and arm and wrist pain reduction.
Not all actions in my editing can be accomplished with spoken commands (yet :-) however a good percentage of repeated stress injury has been relieved/reduced.
On top of that, the far more known use of this program -- turning speech into text -- has saved me time and certainly keyboard effort in composing e-mails etc. I may even write a book or screenplay now :-)
Lastly for now, I'll say that this program is not without its lags and occasional errors... But that said, it goes far to helping one's life go easier :-)
FYI, I used DNS 11.5 to help me edit this very video! As you probably notice, there are many edits in this piece. Each edit has its own volume window, in which I chose to adjust the volumes to be relatively level throughout the piece. To accomplish this, I had to go through several commands for each volume change (probably over 50!). To save time and injury, I set up macros for my video editing program that I named "volume 1" "volume 2" "volume 3"etc. the greater the number, the more upticks relating to the volume level increased for that macro. This saved me a lot of time and pain -- bravo again for this program.
Lastly, sorry for the brightness drop right there toward the end -- that was a mistake and fade that I thought I had removed :-)
Feel free to write me if this inspired you to purchase the program and if you found it to be successful... I'm curious.
