Dragon Quest IX Playthrough #095, Falling Out with Aquila; Arrival in Wormwood Creek
This is video #095 in my playthrough of Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies. This video does not contain commentary. To view the commentary version, click here:
The party has completed the weapon quests that they can currently carry out at Swinedimples Academy. Now that they have gathered all seven fallen Fyggs, it is time to take them up to the Observatory.
Upon leaving Swinedimples, the party Zooms to Newid Isle. There, they visit the glowing blue tree west of Alltrades Abbey and use it to beam up to the Starflight Express (time 1:10). Heorot asks Stella to take off for the Observatory, and off they go.
Before they can reach the Observatory, however, a scene takes place (time 1:49). Hey, it's Aquila! However, something seems a bit off about him. Is he working with unsavory characters?
After the scene, Heorot must battle his master (time 5:34). But what's this? Heorot cannot strike his master! Oh, dear. This could be a problem.
After the mock battle, another scene takes place (time 6:14). Hoo is Aquila's new associate? The weirdo gets his steed to attack the Starflight, and our poor hero is falling yet again. He seems to be suffering more falls than the usual RPG character.
After that, we find Heorot in a new village (time 10:30). A very unfriendly village. The youngster named Wallace seems to be the only person willing to help.
Afterwards, Heorot finally wakes up in the mayor's house (time 11:48). Stella is pushier than ever. Heorot meets up with the friendly Wallace and the not-so-friendly Mayor Doffish. I am not impressed with the mayor's attitude.
After the scenes, the party is free to move about the village (time 15:30). In the mayor's house, the southwest bookshelf contains recipes involving Emerald Moss: Purblind Bow, Blinding Bow, Pixie Boots, Tricksie Boots, Spirit Bracer, and Elfin Charm.
Thanks for watching!
