This is "Dream Express" from Mystic Square.

This song is full of all kinds of memories. I had planned on making Lotus Land Story the final game when I released it, and making it my farewell to my doujin activities after that Summer Comiket, but it sold a lot better than I expected. That led me to not really being satisfied with the first stage themes of that song being too dark, so on the train home after the event, I came up with this song.
The song's title is more fitting than you might think.
Thanks to this song, I was determined to release another game in the short time between Summer and Winter Comikets (though I ended up reliving the nightmare that was making PoDD (^^;), and so I wasn't able to wash my hands of the whole doujin thing, after all.

I tried to make this song jazz fusion with a dash of hard rock. The sub-melody in the piano is my own style of complex jazz, and then I set up a simpler main melody and upbeat drum rhythm against that complicated backing. This is without a doubt the basic idea behind all Touhou songs.

It's a very moving song... no, really.

But I would like to say one more thing about it.
This song is REALLY dark (BA-BUM) and Shuusou Gyoku's False Strawberry is even DARKER. (Mwahahaha)
