Drum Mic Tutorial - Introduction
This video is the introduction to this project on how I mic my drums based on what I've learned over the past year.
***Higher quality audio***
Be sure to watch these videos in HD, because there is a significant improvement in sound quality over standard definition - however, YouTube's codec processing has recently started really muddying up the lower end frequencies (like the bass drum and floor toms), so HD sound is still not as good as the source file. Head to this link on Vimeo if you want to hear the drums at their best: http://vimeo.com/10361406

Also, be sure to laugh at how dumb I sound from 0:43 - 0:49!
I hope you enjoy these videos, and more importantly I hope they help you become better at recording drums!
