I was a bit bored. I know very well that this run can be improved by quite a bit.

A legit speedrun of this game is truly a test of skill. You really need to be accurate to beat this game in the fastest time possible.

TIPS:
Touch Screen:
Just for menus. Nothing else.

Start time/Stop Time:
Time starts after name has been confirmed. This is what the community agreed on for a new game run apparently. I JUST learned this fact. THE STOP TIME SHOULD BE WHEN THE TEXT OF THE LAST DIALOG BOX DISAPPEARS. I didn't do this because other speedruns often stop when the credits roll.

Battles:
The higher the enemy's level, the less chance you have of running away. You will be required to be at a certain level to defeat some battles unfortunately. LV grinding and money management is going to be important for an attack stat high enough to defeat the bosses.
Loosing a battle (but not dying) still yeilds experiance, but no Yen.

Bosses:
Intentionally dying in boss battles is the only way to make up the lack of Levels and Experience. Die in every boss battle 3-5 times. This should lower the Boss' HP on the 3rd try, then in addition to lowering HP, The 4th and 5th death will lower attack and defense. The only exception is the Nine-Tailed Fox. You should be able to Defeat it first try.

Note Accuracy and Damage:
Goods do .5% less damage than Greats. Goods are OK when doing a final blow.
Drum Rolls act as hitting goods/10, and can button mashed swiftly with L and R and Rotating the Circle Pad on a 3DS, as well as mashing the ABXY buttons.
Big notes do X2 Damage than Regular notes if hit within "The center" or "The Rim" of the Taiko, and normal Damage if hit like a regular note.
Big Drumrolls apply the rules of a regular Drumroll and Big Notes.
Balloon Notes do damage depending on how many times you need to hit it... I don't know the exact science behind it.
Deden Notes are like Critical hits... I again don't know too much about the damage value...

Difficulty:
Difficulty Shifts can be altered in game for a faster time. Each song has a certain amount of notes, and the damage values are distributed by the amount of notes in song. The lower, the more damage, but the slower the Damage can be produced. For slow songs, a higher difficulty is needed, but for faster songs, you could lower the difficulty.

Copyright Issues:
The biggest issue when running this game. Your run has the potential of being Region Locked. The only song I know that can Region Lock your recording on Youtube is Knuckle Heads (鷹舞狼吼) by SYSTEM K/H This song can be found by Blue Onis on the Mountain of Souls (The place you fight the Chapter 4 boss, Rokurokubi) and Red Onis In the volcanic Maze (The place before the Chapter 7 Boss, Sorcerer Dokon)

Glitches/Exploits:
None that will save time.

Other Tips:
Try to avoid Inns. There are sometimes scenes with Don-Chan and Pohiko. It's faster to intentionally Die in most places than to go into an Inn. (You also get a neat 100 Yen every Death!) Doing this also allows you to obtain experience if you survive.
If you do an intentional Death, make sure you have entered the Destination close where the death is going to be for fast travel.
Fast travel is your best friend.

100%
No. Just... No.
Unless you REALLY want to try a no miss, no clear for one measly letter!

Okinawa Island Challenge:
I believe this is it's own category, for it's just a boss rush.
