Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded (prototype) map - lighttest
This is the next video in my series on the leaked Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded prototype that was released in late December 2022. This one shows off lighttest, a test map. It features models of Duke Nukem and a Pigcop standing around in various poses.
Unlike previous maps, this one uses Unreal Tournament 3's logic and behavior, including giving the player the Link Gun as a default weapon instead of DN3D:R's Pistol and an inability to use a majority of the items and weapons found in maps. This seems to be because maps that aren't prefixed with "Duke-" in this prototype revert to the UT3 code that comes standard with UDK, the framework Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded was built on.
The rest of the maps in this series lack the "Duke-"prefix, so expect to see a different HUD, the Link Gun, UT3's movement speed and physics, and the player being a robot in upcoming DN3D:R map videos.
