Firstly, Chris Tapsell of Eurogamer explained that there is “no real tutorial” in the early access version, and that it could feel somewhat confusing to begin with.
Players must play as a faction leader and select their assistants, who each embody some faction passives.
Leana Hafer from IGN describes the combat as “simple but satisfying” and explained it is crucial to manage your units in a fight, due to the limited amount of them.
A constant threat throughout the game are the sand worms, which it seems are impossible to avoid completely, but can be mitigated throughout the game.
Overall, reviews seem to be quite pleased with the title, with most expecting that the most hardcore Dune fans will be satisfied!
