Zhang Fei has gone feral after becoming too attached to the bridge he was protecting during the preservation efforts. Now whenever anyone approaches the bridge he's claimed as his mate, he yells at them. Literally everyone has come to try and talk some sense into him, but they just can't help but be impressed. Except Yuan Shao. He thinks this is moronic.

Liu Bei was even let out on parole just for this.

Triggering this cutscene, you have to approach Zhang Fei at Chang Ban on Wei's side while he's near the bridge, but only after Liu Bei has crossed the bridge. If you just rush straight to Zhang Fei first then it won't count. And if you try looping around the battlefield, Zhang Fei will actually move from the bridge, which will also prevent it from being seen.
