Eden Star v0.2.1 | Awesome Free Form Base Building Survival Game Just Received a Huge Update | Ep 1

We're checking out some Eden Star gameplay, a pre-alpha, fast paced sci-fi survival game currently in V0.2.1. In Ep 1, I'll be showing you folks a walkthrough of the systems, some crafting, and some combat. Eden Star just received a huge update at the end of September including a new map, new modular weapons, new construable stuff, new creatures...just a ton of things. Eden Star is a game that features free form base building, material and resource gathering, and plenty of combat. Blending what almost feels like 3D tower defense with hectic first person shooting, Eden Star has two distinct play styles. In the day time the planet you are surviving on is peaceful. You can wander around collecting resources, obtaining rare items, and building base components, weapons, and various other important items that will keep you alive. The base building is fairly extensive, with a large amount of structures and cosmetic systems that you can use to really spruce your little piece of the planet up.
Then comes the night time. The night time sends waves of brutal aliens at you, and it's the duty of what meager defenses you've managed to construct in about 20 minutes of game time to hold up while you constantly get bombarded. Each enemy has different attacks, some are incredibly fast, some can fly, some explode once they make contact with your base like little suicide bombers.
Eden Star has done an amazing job at combining the slow, peaceful feeling of base building with an insane FPS rush, and ensures you get to experience all of it in a 30 minute window! Eden Star is considered Pre-Alpha, but if feels much more polished than a Pre-Alpha if you ask me.

Eden Star is an immersive Sci-Fi survival game that blends innovative physics based combat, destructible environments and free-form construction with the exploration of a hostile alien world.
Explore and gather resources from the environment of Pharus 7, use these materials to construct defensive outposts, craft powerful weaponry and upgrade your Pioneer.
Destroy
Use your MATA-Tool (Remote Manipulation Device) to harvest trees, foliage and mineral rich rocks within a real-time physics driven environment. Obtain Material Shards for use in outpost building, weapon construction and powerful upgrades. Destroy and recreate your surroundings at will; the world is yours to manipulate, just watch out for the indigenous lifeforms…
Build
Use gathered Materials to craft defenses, walls, ramps and turrets to protect your outpost or construct powerful weapons and upgrades for your Pioneer. Place gathered Materials within your Eden Kit to store, or use them to upgrade the Eden Kit's protective shield and power additional defenses. Expand your territory by building additional Eden kits. How you balance your resources is up to you.
Protect
Using unique physics-driven combat you can remotely grab enemies and smash or blast them into the destructible environment. Upgrade your weaponry to tackle the alien hives and claim the territory for your own. Combine different attacks and abilities in order to survive against enemies and environmental hazards. A simple, but fluid movement system gives you freedom to move athletically across surfaces.
Death in Eden Star is permanent. You can be reconstructed back by the Eden Kit provided it contains Teslinium and remains intact, but naturally it must be protected...
