I've had my Elgato for about a year now. They used to blame any issues on my old PC. But I've had a nice new PC for several months now and I still have so many issues with the software. When I contact support, they tell me things like "that was never really a feature" (that was in response to the "mic" button automatically muting the speakers so it wouldn't pick up the sounds twice). I've told them numerous times that my iPhone/iPad screen often won't show up in the software, just a black empty space. The only way I'm ever able to fix these problems is by uninstalling and then reinstalling the software. This is cumbersome and a complete waste of my time, but they seem unbothered, as they never respond to that complaint. They're too busy making custom Elgato's for celebrity YouTubers.

Last week, I thought my speakers were broken because I couldn't get any sound to come out from them. I then noticed that in my sound settings, Elgato takes over the speaker and I can't change the default to my computer's speakers. I deleted the Elgato Game Capture software and my speakers worked again! I told them about this, but again they didn't care. I reinstalled the software and my speakers were fine for a few days (but I still had the black screen issues). Now the speaker problem has returned. I waste more time troubleshooting the broken software than actually recording with it!

But if you want a custom #PokemonGo Elgato, they'll sell you one. Priorities, right?
