I wanted to record a video where I'm taking down a Mirage 2000C first followed by a 2000-5, both fueled to 49%, Excellent, but it didn't turn out quite as I expected. During the first round I forgot to switch the master arm on, so it took a bit longer, but I still killed the 2000-5 relatively quickly... and during the second round I guess I was tired and it took a while to kill off the 2000C, although the first shots on him were landed 10 to 15 seconds earlier.
So, I remembered that I still have to kill the same configuration 2000-5 yet and decided to record what it takes to do that against the 2000C.

And this is the result: both planes fueled to 1700 lbs, the AI skill Excellent. Kill time was about 1:21 or so in the debriefing. In other words, much quicker than my typical 2000-5 50% fuel time... After that I tried three rounds of the same setup against the 2000-5, and in three+ minutes we were both running out of gas before I could land a single hit on him, although I was getting *very* close to doing him in and maybe at some point I'll figure it out how to prevent him from going high aspect when he turns towards the ground.

Still, the point has been proven: the 2000-5 AI is a more difficult adversary than the 2000C, by a wide margin.
