I use finger seal for the first rotten breath, because if you use the dragon communion seal you will usually do enough damage to send him to the fire phase right before the first rot is done. The fire portion of P1 is always pretty scary, perhaps I can find something nice to make it less awful. Also, for some reason I've been getting the stun pretty consistently in P2 if I do 3 charged R1s in P1. Might be a bit of luck, but it definitely makes getting the poison less scary in P2.
