Escaping the nightmare of Mount Massive Asylum next to Waylon Park in Outlast Whistleblower
0Hello welcome to the channel today we play Outlast: Whistleblower is an expansion/video game of downloadable content (or DLC, for its acronym in English) belonging to the first-person horror video game genre, developed and published by Red Barrels Games, a Canadian independent video game developer. It was published on May 6, 20141 for PC (via Steam) and Play Station 4, while for Xbox One it was decided to be released on June 18 of the same year.
As it is an expansion or DLC, the game's plot happens simultaneously and parallel to the events of Outlast.

Outlast: Whistleblower is directly related to and develops simultaneously with the events of the first game, Outlast. We put ourselves in the shoes of Waylon Park, a man who works at the Mount Massive Psychiatric Hospital, where mentally ill patients reside as test subjects in illegal mental and psychological torture experiments at the hands of the Murkoff Corporation. Park does not really like the tests that, against his will, those affected are subjected to, so he decides to write an email asking that the hospital be investigated. He would end up sending it to Miles Upshur, protagonist of Outlast, who, while Park tries to leave the asylum, ends up visiting the asylum. Unfortunately, Waylon is surprised by one of the officials and restrained to undergo experimentation as punishment. After the experiment, chaos takes over the place due to the failure of other tests: the so-called "Walrider" (main antagonist of Outlast), who murders everyone who is in the establishment. This shows that, although Park is considered by some patients to be one of them, throughout the game others will chase him and try to kill him. In short, the majority of the story involves Waylon's escape from the place to do what Upshur failed to do: tell the world the truth about the sinister hospital. And he succeeds: once free, Waylon gains the protection of a man only known as Simon Peacock, who also seeks to expose the evil Murkoff corporation. Peacock warns Waylon of the danger he and his family would be in by uploading the recordings he obtained from the Mount Massive psychiatric hospital, but he still decides to upload them and bring the truth to light once and for all.
