ESO Veteran Tempest Island Hard Mode Guide [Update 2022]
In today's video, Jack and Solus run Veteran Tempest Island with Hard Mode activated. Jack narrates what is going on in the dungeon in each fight after the fact for anyone who would like to have a reference guide.
Tempest Island is a base-game, group dungeon in Elder Scrolls Online. It is located in the northern central region of Malabal Tor - a zone in the Aldmeri Dominion. You are tasked with ridding the island of the invading Maormer who have allied themselves with resident Lamia.
Tempest Island has a total of 6 bosses, 3 of them are mini bosses. Here are the timestamps for explanations of each:
3:59 - Sonolia the Matriarch
6:26 - Valaran Stormcaller
9:14 - Yalorasse the Speaker
10:13 - Stormfist
12:24 - Commodore Ohmamil
14:48 - Stormreeve Neidir
Hard Mode activation usually means more mechanics, or more at once. In this final boss fight, it simply means the boss has more health and deals more damage.
The sets in Tempest Island are the following:
Stormfist - Monster helm (vet only)
Overwhelming Surge - Light
Storm Master - Medium
Jolting Arms - Heavy
On normal the loot is blue and the boss does not drop a monster helmet, but on veteran (no HM required) all of the loot is purple and Stormreeve drops a the Stormfist monster helm. Each boss can drop a unique item but generally the weapons and jewelry (non named items) come form the last boss. Weapons and jewelry and regular loot can also drop from trash and chests. So, loot everything.
