EVE Online Fan Trailer - Outside Context
4Iain M. Banks described the Outside Context Problem as a situation where a civilisation encounters that it not only is unprepared for, but that it cannot even conceive of preparing for. According to Banks, it was the kind of problem "most civilizations would encounter just once, and which they tended to encounter rather in the same way a sentence encountered a full stop."
This fan-made trailer is a loose mashup of various trailers and Scope videos set to Trick of the Trade from the Payday 2 soundtrack. It's a very eerie song which blends synth organs, strange drums, and otherworldly wails into a sound that evokes the ethereal, something I thought fitting for the strange entities which capsuleers must now deal with.
