Everything that COULD'VE Gone Wrong just DID! -- Pokemon LeafGreen ABC Nuzlocke Ep 16
Skip Intro: 0:46
Welcome to the Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen Randomizer ABC Locke Nuzlocke! I will be playing through Pokemon LeafGreen using a variation of the Nuzlocke ruleset where I have no choice over which of my mons I get to use. I will be playing through the Kanto region with my team in different orders after each gym.
The rules are listed below:
1. If a pokemon faints, it is considered dead and can no longer be used.
2. Throughout the game, only the first pokemon encountered in each unique route can be caught. If that pokemon flees, faints, or is run away from, the encounter is forfeited and no other pokemon can be caught in that route. There are 2 caveats to this rule: If the first encountered pokemon is in the same evolution line as a pokemon that has already been caught, I can continue to re-encounter until I get a pokemon of a species I haven't yet caught (species clause) or if at any time a shiny pokemon is encountered, I can catch and use this pokemon regardless of where it was encountered (shiny clause).
3. All pokemon must be nicknamed to encourage forming an emotional bond.
4. If all my pokemon on my team and in the PC die, I lose. However, if my entire team dies but I have pokemon in the PC that are still alive, I can continue with those pokemon.
In addition to these normal nuzlocke rules, an ABC Locke adds on 3 additional rules:
1. I must attempt to catch all encounters within reason. I cannot choose to run from an encounter to avoid a bad team member unless staying in and continuing to try and catch the pokemon would risk causing a death.
2. I must have a randomly chosen letter to start the nickname of all my pokemon to avoid purposely choosing nicknames to benefit my team construction.
3. My team must be selected in 1 of 8 different orders: Alphabetical based on Pokemon species, Catch Location, or Nickname; Reverse-alphabetical based on Pokemon species, Catch Location, or nickname; or Increasing/Decreasing National Dex Number. At the beginning of the run and then after obtaining each gym badge, I must randomly choose 1 of these 8 ordering systems and sort all my pokemon on my team and in the box based on that selected order. I must then use the first 6 pokemon in that sorted list. I then cannot add or remove any team members unless I catch a new mon that, after sorting, becomes one of the top 6, or a team member dies. If either of these happens, the team is repopulated with the new top 6 in the current order.
This version of Pokemon LeafGreen has been randomized. This means all starters, trainer pokemon, wild encounters, and static pokemon are random. Additionally, field items and TMs have been randomized. All pokemon have been given the ability to learn all HM moves to allow for continued progress in the game regardless of the makeup of my team.
I hope to play through the entire game, defeat the Elite 4, and beat my rival to become the champion! Join me on my Pokemon LeafGreen randomizer nuzlocke challenge using a unique ruleset! I hope you enjoy this Kanto randomizer nuzlocke and if you want to watch more Pokemon/Nintendo content, consider liking and subscribing!
