Excel Mac: How To Use Averages For Decision Making

In this video I have demonstrated how to use easily compute the averages and make informed decision. You can do this manually if the list of the data is short as this example by comparing the values with the averages and make your decision. However, if the list (dataset) was long you can use the IF formula to examine each observation with the averages as I did. Then you can use conditional formatting to highlight those identified as “Good Deal”. Producing a column chart helps identify the best deal as well as using the INDEX function.
