I have no idea how to get the true ending, but if I somehow managed to stumble my way into it, I'll try to write a Steam guide about all the possible relevant choices and secrets. I literally have a bookmarks folder filled with any Steam thread that talks about this, but there are only vague hints at best. Maybe everyone who tried to reveal the exact process got isekai'd like Ash in order to silence them?
0:00 Title
I think the dev requested this game a long time ago, but I don't remember how or when they contacted me.
You only have access to normal mode for a first run.
2:17 School Sucks
Ash runs from a bully who mentions the latter has mental health issues or something. On the roof, a glowing figure tells Ash the world is going to end.
3:31 Fallen Temple
There's a rabbit in the pillar map, but it runs away.
5:09 Getting Stomped by a Mook
Ash is too scared to actually attack the first enemy of the game. Also, unlike me, duck after moving away from where the enemy's attack is aimed, since Ash's hitbox is bigger than it looks.
Iris the fairy will deal 999 damage to the enemy.
7:26 Fallen Temple
The graffiti implies Iris is not trustworthy, but in the interest of trying to get the true ending, I'll try to be as nice to her as possible.
Iris asks for Ash's blood to open a door and I said yes, but it turns out she was kidding. She instead smashes herself against the wall to draw her own blood. I can't get a read on this obvious Navi ripoff.
There's a strange door that I can't open. I really wish there was a proper detailed guide. Maybe I should use social engineering to somehow trick Firefly into playing these games first.
Enemies randomly attack in tall grass, like in Pokemon. Sadly, there is no option to "cut" the grass.
Normal attacks have a similar input sequences as Undertale, except there's a chance of missing even if you get Great or Perfect hits, which feels very unrewarding. Worse yet, enemy attacks have a chance of skipping the dodging minigame and hitting you with no way to defend against it. I can't tell if the game wants to reward motor skills or not due to the way the RNG is stacked against the player. Are the enemies using Elysium to predict my actions or something just like Zoa Gilstein?
On the bright side, once you learn your first spell, you can ignore the RNG as long as you have MP, since I have yet to see a spell miss.
16:17 Puzzle Room: Match the Torches
17:25 Diary Page
There are 6 chapters in the game, but 7 diary pages to find. I'm guessing the last one is obtained by getting the other 6 first.
18:02 Fallen Temple
19:47 Puzzle Room: Just One Lever
Only one lever will solve this puzzle, and you can get the hint a bit north of the levers.
20:29 Fallen Temple
A figure in the shadows is spying on Ash and Iris.
Iris tells Ash to jump across a chasm, but he fails because leveling up didn't significantly increase his leg strength. Iris then carries Ash across. This is a one way path btw.
23:10 Two Puzzles One Room
You have to solve an easier version of the memory card game and a simple box pushing puzzle.
24:15 Fallen Temple
We see a statue of the Crimson God, who Iris insists is a false god and a really bad dude.
28:47 Arbor Forest
iris notices something ominous and throws Ash into a tree to hide him. A red-haired woman and her followers demand to know where the mortal is. When Iris refuses, they beat the crap out of her and kidnap her. They work for the Crimson God, so maybe Iris is right about them?
Ash tries to run, but trips on a branch. Then the rabbit speaks with his grandpa's voice and encourages him to keep going.
31:45 Flashback
Ash was depressed about school even back in primary, but he does cheer up when he hears his grandpa is visiting.
32:09 Arbor Forest
The pieties don't seem hostile, but their smiley face masks are kind of disturbing.
