Fallout 4 - Sanctuary City Redux Tour (HD)
So I decided I was just fairly happy with my Sanctuary Hills. I could've been happier if I had designed a complex, quieter power system, rendering those small, noisy generators useless. So I did just that.
But then it hit me. This is supposed to be a fortress, dammit, so why is it fortified with wooden walls. Doesn't seem very impenetrable, does it? Therefore, using the new Wasteland Workshop DLC, I junked the flimsy walls surrounding Sanctuary Hills and instead constructed concrete walls for my fortress' perimeter.
But then it also hit me. Many of the wooden buildings/facilities I propped up looked equally horrendous. So I scrapped all of those and rebuilt them with concrete. The only wooden structures left are the three large shacks and the four small shacks, as having to had make numerous stops at the Diamond City Market, splurging thousands of caps on materials kind of discouraged me from erecting new concrete ones in their place. So they stay.
Now my new Sanctuary Hills is more energy efficient and looks formidable indeed. Let's see some sorry assholes try to assault this place (actually they did while I was recording, smug bastards...).
I now present to you the tour of my new Sanctuary Hills, now outfitted as the Institute's main stronghold above ground. This entire settlement, since I placed my first item on day one, took over 50 hours of toying, employing, and destroying to masterfully craft this beautiful (or perhaps still ugly) settlement. I'm very proud of it. Enjoy the tour!
