Fancy Ceiling Fan Installation by Chris Mac aka "MAC NIFTY" - This Old House
We have this sweet old salad house and room by room they are getting made modern.
At the end of the video I show that the remote receiver... Is basically just a relay. Is a remote control relay.
You can have it power other things.
You could use it to start a water pump with different levels of power like the different speeds of the fan getting power from the relay.
It's a speed controller... And a power switch for the light which can power something else 120v.
Just don't go over the limit of what the wire can handle in current.
The problem is not having a hundred things connected to an extension cord.
The problem is always how much current you are drawing.
You can have a million christmas light strands as long as they don't exceed what the first strand that they all feed from is capable of handling.
Resistance creates the heat.
Is the same way that those wires will get hot and melt the Insullation.
That wire will turn cherry red hot if you give it enough current before ever breaking a breaker. If there is no breaker or a fuse that wire will turn into a light bulb filament until it breaks connection from burning out.
Stay safe. Be sure you know what you are doing when you play with fire or electricity or even water. I know some guys that try to do their plumbing and flood their basement because it couldn't get that pipe back on.
I'm a professional and working on houses is amateure. I am used to working with a thousand volts. Six hundred amps of current with the high voltage. That's where you talk about vaporizing things. And hold your breath because if you breathe then that vapor of smoke that is vaporized metal question.
Yeah that's pretty much instant death.
Like I said, stay safe... you need any help with anything?
I'm a cool dude. I'll try to help you out.
