Please thumbs up.
As mentioned new playlist as I get lots of questions which are similar, starting off with recording apps!

Recordmydesktop;
May seem long but if you want to convert the .OGV files to something that works then keep watching that part and also to get the sound working!

Kazam Commands;
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:vanhoof/kazam-scratch
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kazam
Just copy and paste them into the terminal and off you go!

GLC commands;
Recording:
glc-capture wine morrowind.exe (then shift+f8 or shift+f9 ingame to start recording)
glc-capture ./ut2004 (linux game example)

Render:
glc-play [stream file] -a 1 -o audio.wav
glc-play [stream file] -y 1 -o - | mencoder -demuxer y4m - -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=6000 -audiofile audio.wav -oac mp3lame -o video.avi
