Feel the powah of the void
Real talk, the alterna spell, from the ring of lucii, is one of the better spells thanks to the buffs which happened a LOOONG time ago.
To use alterna, press R1 and Triangle/Y depending on your controller.
Despite claims to the contrary alterna is not affected by the magic stat. strictly random. There is nothing you can do about it if alterna decides to miss 2000 times in a row.
If you feel that alterna is taking too long, resort to death, which is the circle/B button and always kills adamantoise at 85 percent health, unlike alterna, death IS affected by your magic stat but caps at 500 for a tick of 3k/2800 damage per second as well as the max death affliction rate.
You can only obtain the ring of lucii via story progression. Don't waste your time trying to smack ada around with normal weapons that shit takes forever even with the highest possible damage.
