Fast Five drove in the big numbers at the box office -- stick around for our Weekend Box Office Roundup here on Clevver Movies!

Hey There Movie Goers I'm Chelsea Cannell here for Clevver Movies with your weekend Box Office Roundup! It was a quick drive for universal's Fast Five which drew in big audiences for its domestic debut banking a record $86.2 Million in North America. The franchise definitely paid off big for Universal who is probably happy they are already at work on Fast 6.

But While Fast Five did well in the US it wasn't able to beat Thor Internationally. The superhero tent pole which opens over here on May 6th, managed to pull in 83 Mill from 56 markets to grab the top foreign release of the year. The film has already taken in $93 mill total overseas.

Rio Came in at #2 domestically, holding on with $14.4 for a domestic cumulative of $103 Million in its 3rd weekend.

And While both Rio and Fast Five did well over what was expected, Prom Did well under. The Disney flick that was the talk of the tween universe for months leading up to its release, only managed a measly $5 million on the film that cost 9 Mill to make.

Guess it pays to drive fast at the box office, at least it did for Fast Five! Did you see the franchise flick? And if not do you plan to check it out in the weeks to come? Fill us in and let us know what you plan to see when you hit the theaters next.

Thanks for tuning in, we've got more updates on the way!
