FF6: Can we stop with the Zsnes-only BS?
3Far too often, anyone who has made a hack for FF6 or Chrono Trigger have, time and time again, given a bunch of tripe that "it only works on Zsnes" or "recommended for use on Zsnes, Snes9x will not work with it". To me, that is pure BS. Why? One, Zsnes was written entirely in ASM to be as fast as possible, but this comes at a great cost; games suffer from major inaccuracies and behaviors that are not conducive with real hardware. ROM hackers take advantage of these quirks and issues and work ROM hacks around them. What does this mean, some hacks will only work on Zsnes, but in this case, it works perfectly on Snes9x 1.53. These hackers need to stop spreading lies or falsely recommending eight year-old emulators that have long since been abandoned.
